power rating ladderLadder Season Ends

Our ladder season has come to an end today and medals are currently being awarded and verified. We have trimmed the number of ladders for the new season, eliminating the miscellaneous ladders as well as most of those that were based on experience. We felt that these ladders were not particularly exciting to participate in and we will continue to make refinements our ladder system in the future.

The new ladder season ends on 08.31.06. Best of luck to all of you!

tournamentWarrior's Path Tournament Sign-ups

The top four players in our Warrior's Path Tournament will be coming to visit us here at Ensemble Studios for two weeks in July! Please visit our tournament page for full event rules and requirements. Sign-ups are currently open for those legal residents of the 50 United States who are 18 years of age or older, and will close on 11:59am PT on June 12.

107Patch 1.07 Released

Patch 1.07 is now available through the in-game auto updater or from our game updates page. Click "Help and Tools" then click "Update Game" to get the latest version. This patch adds the new random map The Unknown, new functionality for the ESO Friends List, as well as other bug fixes.

unknownThe Unknown is Coming...

Patch 1.07 is in final testing and will be available in a matter of days. Included in the patch will be a new random map called the Unknown, which long time Age fans will remember as a custom random map that we released for the Age of Kings expansion pack many years ago. This one random map generates a wide variety of map types for you to play on, so you never quite know what you're going to get:

e3E3 Wrap-up

The press descended on LA for this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 as it is commonly known. Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to see us demo Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs, where we were showing everyone what the Iroquois and Sioux could do. tournamentWarrior's Path Tournament

Ensemble Studios is sponsoring a 1v1 tournament for players in the United States who are 18 years of age or older. (Void in MD, VT and where prohibited by law) The lucky top four finishers from this event will be flown to Dallas, Texas where they will get an inside look at the life of a video game tester, receive a daily allowance, and have the unique opportunity to playtest Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs expansion pack for two weeks this July!

GameSpot has revealed the second of the three new civlizations from our upcoming Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs Expansion! Their interview with Ensemble Studios designer Sandy Petersen will give you an overall impression of what to expect from the Sioux and why we were excited about including them in the expansion.

Next week at E3, we'll be giving people a first hand look at the Iroquois and the Sioux, so stay tuned for more information and images!
